Sometimes it happens that the Crashday masterserver does not work or is not reachable.
But what if you want to play against others now?
We have the solution here! And it is very easy to use:

1) Join existing servers

Push our refresh-button and look if there are any servers online now. If not, you can wait for servers and just leave the window open (refreshing all 30 seconds by itself) or create your own server (read point 2). In case you found a server you like to join and the version is matching yours, open Network Settings in your Crashday game and enter the port number of the server in the field Host-side port. When done, go to the game browser of Crashday under Join Existing Game. After it displayed the message that the masterserver could not be connected, you can open Find By IP menu and type in the ip-address from the server what you found on our site. Now you should be connected to the server. If you have any trouble with connecting to other servers, you maybe can find help in the forum: www.crashdayforum.com.

2) Create new server

If there is no server available for your version of crashday, you easily can setup your own server. Open your Crashday game Network Settings and look which port is used in Host-side port (standard is 9000), start a new Crashday network game with Start New game and ignore the masterserver error message, then push our button New server and enter the servername you wish to use, the version of your installed Crashday, the port you just looked for and if it is public or password-protected. Your ip-address is transmitted automatically and can not be changed. Push Send and wait for players. That's it! When finished playing, you can delete your server from our list by clicking on close. In case you forgot that, it will be deleted by itself after 3 minutes when you closed the browser window.
